After the makeover

Website Makeover: CrossCounsel

I redesigned CrossCounsel's ministry site. I designed the original site 4-5 years ago when I my skills were more limited. It wasn't a bad site, but it needed a face lift and some of the content is outdated. In addition, the focus of this ministry has changed in the last four years. We also need to change the coding structure to accommodate the moderate amount of maintenance this site will require.

Our objectives in the redesign:
  • Improve the visual appearance.
  • Make the navigation much easier.
  • Bring the content up to date and ...
  • Easily keep the content up to date.

My client found a site that he liked and asked me to pattern the design after that site. No problem - happy to do it that way.

I started with this:

With permission of Wisconsin artist, Steven Kozar, we used one of his many beautiful paintings as a background image for the new site.

And turned it into this ...

You can look at the site here.

I also, recently created a simple photo collage for them. It's featured on their photo page. (See the 2007 Women's Retreat.)

My client's comments:
"I have received numerous compliments on the simplicity and ease of use of my website.   I have also been impressed by the quick response time to any necessary adjustments I've requested.  Dwight Clough has always been straightforward to work with and has relieved a great deal of stress in managing our site.  I highly recommend him and his services."
